Independent research: Practice Fireworks piece

I have started to use my understanding of fireworks to create a music magazine. I thought instead of creating a school based draft, I would create one that has no relation to my work. I feel that I need to do a few more practices as the lines I have drawn are not thick enough and I would like to add more smaller images.I feel using this practice will help me to understand the way in which I can change certain features, for example the picture and the contrast of colours. Using this colour scheme is appropriate for the type of magazine, however they are not as easy to see, due to the dark background and not very light colours for my coverlines.
Eventhough this is a draft practice, I do like the masthead as I made, as I have made this masthead name up, for my rock magazine I may use this masthead as I think it is quite appropriate, considering it will be for a music magazine.
