To help create an effective magazine front cover, I have found a really good tutorial video which helps me to understand how to work Adobe Fireworks. This software is really good but not something I understand therefore I am broadening my understanding of how to use this software.
After this video I am now more educated on how to work fireworks. I have found out the different layers in which I can include, which will make things easier to move, instead of it being on the same layer which will all move at the same time. I have also found out how to 'transform' layers on my page, this is so I can change the size, angle and position of the part of the page I am changing. Finally I have understood how to change the colouring or the textures of my fonts/texts, this is so I can make the text look more effective towards my target audience. For example I will use a bold, 3D look for my school magazine, whereas I would use a more 'crumpled paper' look for my rock magazine.
