Evaluation- Question 7

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

 Here is a slidey slideshow of the development and progression of my fireworks skills in order to create a magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread. You can see the improvements through my designs, use of graphics and layout and the understanding of colour contrast. I have learnt the most about the importance of my photos and how they must be relevant and if they have a model in the photo, it is better to have them looking at the camera (Direct mode of address) as this makes the magazine look more engaging. I have also learnt about the understanding of colour and how some can compliment others more than some colours, for example orange and green, blue and red but yellow and blue would not. However there can be some exceptions to the colours you use if it is in the house style of that magazine, as this must have different connotations. Finally I have learnt about how important the slightest different improvements to things can change the way that the audience perceive the product you have created. Moving masthead text in different positions can look more effective to the audience,
